Sheepadoodles are a cross between an Old English Sheepdog and a Poodle. Both the Old English Sheepdog and Poodle are excellent family dogs and are excellent with kids. The Sheepadoodle follows suit and are very loving, loyal, and smart dogs. Sheepadoodles are becoming a well loved type of dog because of their wonderful temperaments and their teddy bear look.
Because neither the Old English Sheepdogs or Poodles shed, Sheepadoodles carry that same trait. Although no dog is considered 100% hypo- allergenic, Sheepadoodles are considered very allergy friendly and should not pose allergy problems. The coat types range from straight / loose wave, wavy, to curly.
We have chosen to breed Sheepadoodles as we feel they are a beautiful middle ground between the Aussiedoodle and the Bernedoodle. They are not as energetic and athletic as the Aussiedoodle, nor do they have as high of excercise requirements, yet they a have more energy then a Bernedoodle.
These dogs range in 60+ lbs for a female to 75lbs for male upon maturity and they measure between 24-28 inches in height.
These dogs are not suitable for appartment dwellers, they require a moderate amount of excersise and can have an independent streak about them, so early off leash training and recall training is reccomended.
